Founded in 2005 by Jack Abrams, MD, Abrams Eye Institute provides comprehensive ophthalmologic services in Southern Nevada. With a team of board-certified ophthalmologists, Abrams Eye Institute has been recognized as the best ophthalmology practice in Las Vegas by Best of Las Vegas and nationally recognized for providing the most advanced ophthalmologic services in Southern Nevada.

Our Doctors

Abrams Eye Institute is an ophthalmology-only practice. All of our doctors are fully trained physicians with extensive clinical experience.

Jack Abrams, MD: A pioneer in the field, Dr. Abrams was the first surgeon in Nevada to perform Laser-Assisted Cataract, KAMRA Inlay, and Laser-Assisted Intacs procedures. Dr. Abrams is the only surgeon in Nevada who has performed laser-assisted corneal transplants. Over the course of his career, Dr. Abrams has performed more than 15,000 surgeries.
Tapan R. Shah, MD: Dr. Shah has over a decade of experience using cutting-edge technology to provide excellent patient care. He is also an accomplished researcher and author of multiple peer-reviewed medical journal articles.
Christopher DePalo, DO: Dr. DePalo is an experienced practitioner who focuses on using the most advanced technologies paired with patient-first care. Prior to joining the Abrams Eye Institute, he held teaching positions and served as the Assistant Team Ophthalmic Physician for the Columbus Stars hockey team in Columbus, Ohio.
